Terms of Use

Mantria is a feeling-naming app developed by Alican Basak, an indie developer based in Istanbul, Türkiye. It is provided for personal, non-commercial use. Mantria generates short observational texts using AI (Anthropic's Claude). These texts are intended for reflection and emotional vocabulary support.

• Mantria does NOT diagnose mental illness
• Mantria does NOT provide medical, psychological, or therapeutic treatment
• Mantria does NOT replace the relationship with a licensed therapist or doctor
• The texts generated are literary observations, not clinical advice

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a licensed mental health professional, call your local crisis hotline (we list these in the app), or in emergencies call your local emergency services.

Mantria uses AI (Anthropic's Claude) to generate text. By using Mantria you understand that:

• AI-generated content may occasionally be inaccurate, irrelevant, or unexpected
• Mantria does not guarantee that any specific feeling will be correctly named
• We do our best to maintain quality and prevent harmful content
• We are not liable for any decision you make based on AI-generated content

Mantria includes a crisis detector that triggers when self-harm, suicide, or abuse content is detected in user input. In these cases we do not generate a response, we display crisis resources for your region, and we strongly encourage you to contact a real human.

This system is best-effort; it may not detect all crisis indicators. Always seek professional help if you are in crisis.

Mantria requires an account. You sign in with Apple or Google; we store only the provider's opaque subject identifier and bind it to a Mantria-internal UUID. You are responsible for maintaining access to the Apple ID or Google account you used to sign in.

Mantria offers a Premium subscription via Apple's In-App Purchase system, managed by RevenueCat.

• Pricing — $4.99/month or $29.99/year (or local equivalent)
• Trial — annual plan: 3 days free, then auto-renews unless canceled
• Renewal — Subscription auto-renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the period ends
• Cancellation — Manage subscriptions in iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions
• Refunds — Handled by Apple per their refund policy

You will not receive a refund from us directly — Apple manages all subscription billing.

• The Mantria app, brand, and design are property of Alican Basak
• AI-generated content within Mantria is licensed to you for personal use
• You may share saved cards on social media with attribution to Mantria
• You may NOT republish or redistribute Mantria content commercially without permission

You agree NOT to:

• Use Mantria to harass, threaten, or harm others
• Use Mantria for illegal purposes
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or hack Mantria
• Submit content that violates any law
• Use bots or automation to spam Mantria

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms.

Our total liability to you for any claims related to Mantria is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.

We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be announced in-app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

You may stop using Mantria at any time by uninstalling. We may terminate access for violations of these Terms. Termination does not affect any subscription billing already processed by Apple.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any dispute will be resolved in Istanbul courts, unless local consumer protection laws require otherwise.

For EU/UK/US users: your local consumer protection laws may grant you additional rights, which these Terms do not override.
