The Curse of Sufficiency

2026-05-13

Everything in your life is fine. Your family is fine. Your job is fine. You feel guilty for not being happier. The fineness is the loss. The curse of sufficiency is the feeling of being unable to want what you already have — not because you are ungrateful, but because the wanting itself has gone somewhere you cannot follow. Lives can be quietly complete and still feel like rooms with no echo. Naming this is not asking for more. It is just acknowledging that 'enough' is its own kind of weight.
